I'm sorry to report that we'll be closing the LinkAlarm service at the end of June 2010. After 12 years of operation we're looking for other opportunities. We've enjoyed working with you and wish you every success in the future.
You're welcome to continue using your account until 30 June. At this time, any credit remaining over $20 will be refunded.
Perhaps you're the next owner of LinkAlarm? Over the years we've had lots of ideas for how to use the software in new ways. If you're the entrepreneurial type this may be your opportunity to implement LinkAlarm as a licensed enterprise service, an open source product or a mobile application. Everything is available including the intellectual property, domains and business name – I invite you to make me an offer.
Best regards,
George

I have liked your service. You will be missed!!
This is the first communication I have receievd in 5 years! No wonder you are closing – need to be a little more proactive than that!
interesting. If they closing therefore how I can find similar this service?
We opted not to send much email communication as we quickly got labelled a spam service. This affected the valuable emails we sent our for report notification.
But thanks for your comment Bruce. You're right, of course.
We haven't found a service that does what LinkAlarm does. If you find one, post here!
Thanks Michelle, and the many others who have written to express similar sentiments.
I run a community web site with links out to all manner of clubs, charities, associations, small businesses and so on, often these are short-lived ventures, people are all very keen to get their links put on the site but never tell me when their business closes or their domain name expires or changes. Without my regular LinkAlarm reports to help me clean up broken links I don't stand a chance of being able to maintain the site to the same standard, if LinkAlarm goes, and there is no replacement, I can see the site's usefulness will quickly go downhill as I will have to manually test all my links which will take forever! I hope a solution can be found, if I had the first idea about running such a service I would take it over myself!
What exactly does We’re Closing – And we’re back mean.
I receive the rlinkalarm and noticed that better report than before. Keep it up and hope someone else making good offer and at low reasonable price per page.
